Swim Team Liason
The board is looking to fill an open board Treasurer position.
The treasurer shall supervise the accounting records of the corporation and shall have charge and custody of, and be responsible for all funds and securities of the corporation, receiving and giving receipts for all monies paid to the corporation from any source whatsoever, and deposit of all such monies in the name of the corporation in such banks or other depositories as shall be designated by the Board of Directors, which such funds shall be withdrawn by such officers or officer as the Board of Directors shall, from time to time, designate, and in general perform all of the duties incident to the office of Treasurer, and such other duties as, from time to time, may be assigned by the Board of Directors. In addition to duties specifically pertaining to the role of as treasurer, all board members (including treasurer), are also expected to fulfill the following duties as listed
1. Attend and participate in all Board meetings (these meetings range from biweekly,
monthly, to every 2-3 months depending on the season). Typically these meetings are on
a weeknight. However, the Board has also met on weekends. Board meetings last
approximately 2-3 hours.
2. This is a year-round commitment, and usually the busiest time is during the months that
PVC is open to members. This also includes potentially being available throughout the
summer weekends and holidays.
3. Respond to emails/phone calls from other Board members, and give input when needed.
4. Be available/on call by phone and willing to travel to PVC if assistance from a Board
member is needed. This includes, power outages, safety issues, Health Department
inspections, member concerns, meeting vendors, and facility repair issues throughout
the workday, evenings or weekends.
5. Be available to assist in an emergency at PVC during unguarded hours, or as backup
during guarded hours if lifeguards need additional support outside their normal roles.
This has ranged from cleaning up broken glass, fecal incidents or arranging and
obtaining supplies for the facility as needed.
6. Be available to meet vendors and get bids to perform repair work and/or supervise repair
work. This will often occur during regular business hours and occasionally on weekends.
7. Be available to research and/or consult with outside professionals for board projects and supervise vendor work as needed.
