PVC Board & Staff

On behalf of the staff, the board, lifeguards and everyone supporting club operations, we all welcome back our returning members and extend a warm appreciation to our new members.

We want to highlight some off-season improvements we were able to accomplish: 1) the pool’s loose and missing tiling will be repaired and replaced in time for the season; 2) a new roof was installed; 3) the wading pool was repaired; and 4) new lighting was installed around the perimeter of the pool. We hope these noticeable improvements will be enjoyed by all.

Additionally, we want to announce that we’ve instituted minor edits to the pool rules. You can find all the pool rules here. However, we want you to be aware the rule regarding flotation devices is now:

• Coast Guard approved flotation devices only. Members shall provide their own flotation devices which must fit properly and be secured appropriately on the user. No inflatables, mats, etc. allowed. Parent or guardian must be in water with the child and within arm’s reach at all times.

PVC will officially open to paid members on April 19, weather permitting. We hope to stay open toward the end of October, so it’s going to be a fantastic season. Payments are due by April 15th (returning members should have received an invoice in the mail).  Please go to https://pvclub.com/  for all the latest information and calendar updates.

Also, please remember that our guard staff will not start until Memorial Day weekend. The Openpath app and/or card keys will work between 7am and 9pm (weather permitting). Please DO NOT enter the pool if the covers are on the pool and DO NOT attempt to remove the covers.

A couple of requests:

• If anyone is interested and able – we need some help with some light maintenance/wood work/bench repair etc.  If you have tools and are willing, please email the board. 
• We are also looking to supplement our covers crew.  It’s a paid position, and involves taking off and putting on the covers. This both conserves heat at night and reduces evaporation.  It's all part of our energy sustainability plan.
