Every member & their guest are expected to be aware of all safety rules and regulations. The Pleasanton Valley Club Board of Directors requests that every member cooperates in the collective enforcement of these rules and regulations. PVC Business Manager must be notified of all organized parties. Any party consisting of 10 or more people must also fill out a PVC Facility Rental Agreement and pay applicable fees. All PVC party requests must be made 14 days in advance with proper approval. See all conditions related to a facility rental here. - All party requests must be made 14 days in advance with proper approval.
- The maximum duration for pool parties is 4 hours. Any request for more than 4 hours needs board approval.
- Any unauthorized party will be assessed for all applicable fees.
- April, May, August & September requests will not be approved until staff availability is confirmed within 2-3 weeks' notice. Requests more than 3 weeks in advance may be delayed until the staff is confirmed.
- Pool parties are not permitted on Holiday Weekends or last day of school for PUSD.
- Overlapping parties of 20 or more are not permitted.
- There will be no organized group of more than 70 people (swimming and non-swimming) renting any part of the facility, other than PVC-sponsored activities.
- 48-Hour cancellation notice is required for a full refund. Any less than 48 will result in a $50 fee.
- In the event the organized party goes over the allotted amount of time requested or more than the said amount of people attends, appropriate fees will be billed (including the lifeguard fee).
- All reservations require a PVC lifeguard(s) on duty. This applies during guarded and key hours. The lifeguard must be a PVC employee. The guard is assigned to ensure the safety of participants as well as to enforce PVC rules and regulations.
- The club reserves the right to limit the number of events taking place on the same day.
- General Members are still permitted in the facility and cannot be denied use.
- Groups may reserve the grass area or the shallow-end picnic area but not both.
- Members are permitted to set up before the scheduled pool party time but are not approved to remove users from the area reserved until 15 minutes before the scheduled pool party.
- Staff will arrive 15 minutes before guests and inform any occupants of the rental to ensure it is available for the party.
- The applicant is responsible for party members. The applicant must review the safety rules and regulations to ensure their guests are aware of them.
- For a PVC Member rental, the member must remain on the premises while any non-PVC guests are on the premises.
- For Sponsored NON-PVC member parties, the sponsor agrees to stay in communication about any behavior issues on or after the event if needed.
- The Facility Rental Agreement is non-binding until the application and fees are paid. All fees must be paid at the time of application.
- The Pleasanton Valley Club has no legal or financial obligation to any person injured while attending a private party on PVC grounds.
- In case of inclement weather or other unforeseen emergency, the applicant agrees to abide by the decision of the PVC President or in his/her absence, the PVC Vice-President on whether to cancel the Facility Rental Agreement.
