Dear PVC Members,
We would like to welcome back our returning members and extend a warm welcome to
our new members. We’re looking forward to a great season ahead. The Board has been
working diligently to prepare for the season, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth
start.
A few items are in the process of being repaired, including benches that were damaged
by weather around the pergola structure and wading pool, as well as the benches near
the Snack Shack. In addition, select areas of water-damaged concrete decking are also
being addressed.
We are also in the process of hiring and onboarding lifeguards and swim instructors for
the season. Swim lessons will start in June, so be sure to watch the website to register.
For added safety, PVC is in the process of acquiring an Automated External Defibrillator
(AED), which will be kept in the office and available as needed.
A member meeting will be held in June. The date and time will be shared with the
membership soon. All members who have paid their 2025 dues and submitted the
required new member or renewal forms will be welcome to attend. Please keep an eye
out for an email with additional details.
Payments and completion of new member and renewal forms are due before gaining
access to the pool. If you have paid and provided an email to our business manager,
and downloaded the application to your phone, your phone should be able to access the
gate using the keypad at the facility. Remember, access to the gate is a unique email
tied to that phone application. Please go to https://pvclub.com/ for all the latest
information and calendar updates and payment information. You may also email the
business manager at pleasantonvalleyclub1@gmail.com for business payment
questions or submissions of emails.
PVC’s general liability insurance and alcohol endorsement, which was finalized last
week now has a total liquor liability exclusion. Because of this, the insurance company
now requires PVC to confirm that members are not permitted to bring alcohol on the
premises. The Board received clarification on this total liquor liability exclusion
requirement this past week during the renewal period. Prior to this, the information
conveyed to PVC was not as restrictive in nature.
Please note that the Board has been working extensively with our insurance provider to
understand and comply with updated policy requirements. The decision to prohibit
alcohol at PVC is a requirement from the insurance company, and not a policy
independently established by the Board. Unfortunately, this is the policy for now.
However, the Board is continuing to explore options in hopes of finding a more flexible
solution. Members who have already paid their 2025 dues and submitted the required
form agreeing to abide by PVC rules do not need to re-sign, as the most current policies
will always be posted and maintained on the PVC website. Updated party reservation
forms reflecting these changes will be available soon.
We greatly appreciate your dedication to the club. If you have any questions, concerns,
or ideas you would like to share with the Board, please feel free to email us at
Be well, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you on deck!
Sincerely,
PVC Board
