Swimmers must be able to negotiate the length of the pool with
a kickboard.
Criticism of the staff or other swimmers is
not acceptable.
A minimum of two (2) practices each week must be attended if the
swimmer wants to compete in meets.
The coach must be informed by Tuesday before a scheduled meet
if a swimmer is not going to participate in that upcoming meet.
Any swimmer who leaves a meet prior to their final event, or
any swimmer who is a no show for a meet, (once they already committed
to swimming) will lose the privilege of competing in the next scheduled
meet. Thc only exception is if the absence has been cleared with
the coach IN ADVANCE!
Disruptive behavior at practice or at the meets will not be tolerated.
The discipline policy is as follows:
-
After the first incident the swimmer signs a written performance
contract with the coach.
-
After the second incident, the swimmer receives a verbal warning
and the parents are called. Thc parent must sign the swimmers'
contract before the swimmer is allowed back in the pool.
-
Upon the 3rd incident, the swimmer is removed for the team,
and NO refunds will be issued. Safety rules established by PVC
will be adhered to at all times.
Swimmers must swim at least two dual meets to qualify for the Championship
meet, and the end-of-the-year Awards Ceremony.
All meets and participants are governed by the Valley Swim League
rules.
If your PVC membership is sold after joining the swim team the
swimmer will not be allowed to practice or compete until the Non-Member
Dues are paid.
